A weekend away, built around you

The Retreats

Most women come alone. Nobody is asked to be interesting, healed, or good at group settings. Small houses, six to sixteen women, and weekends built by a photographer who has spent thirteen years learning how to make people comfortable being looked at.

  • Most guests come solo
  • 6 to 16 women, never more
  • Trauma informed
  • Klarna, Afterpay & Affirm

What these are, and what they are not.

01

Come alone

Most women do. You will not be the odd one out, and you will not be made to introduce yourself in a circle. Friends who come together are welcome too.

02

Nothing is mandatory

Every session, every activity, every photograph. Skip what you want and nap instead. Nobody keeps score, and nobody asks why.

03

Actually small

Six women at Lost Caverns and Joshua Tree, eight in the cabin, sixteen in Nashville. Small enough that you are a person, not an attendee.

04

Pay over time

Two ways. A deposit holds your room and the rest is split before the date, or pay in full at checkout with Klarna, Afterpay, or Affirm and split it into four. Nobody has to put a whole retreat on a card at once.

Questions

Before you book.

Do I need to know anyone else going?
No, and most women do not. Coming alone is the norm here, not the exception. You will not be made to introduce yourself in a circle or partner up with a stranger.
What if I am not the retreat type?
Then you are in good company. These are not sunrise-yoga, share-your-trauma weekends. Nothing is mandatory, there is no schedule you have to keep up with, and sleeping in is a completely respectable use of the time.
Is the price on this page what I actually pay?
Close. A 3% processing fee is added at checkout, so a $550 room comes to $566.50. That covers what the payment processor charges, and it is the only thing added to the prices you see here.
Can I pay over time?
Yes, two ways. A deposit holds your room and we split the balance into payments before the date. Or pay in full at checkout using Klarna, Afterpay, or Affirm, which splits it into four interest free payments, subject to their approval. If you go that route nothing further is owed to us.
Is the portrait session required?
No. At Lost Caverns it is included in your price and entirely optional. Plenty of women skip it and spend the time resting instead.
What if I can only do a deposit right now?
That is exactly how it works. A deposit holds your room, and the balance is due closer to the date. See the specific retreat above for the exact deadline.
What if something comes up and I cannot go?
Reach out as early as you can. Spots are small and in demand, so there is usually someone waiting, and we will work with you on what is fair.
Do I pay the deposit or the full amount?
Either. A deposit holds your room and we split the balance before the date. Paying in full is what makes Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm available, so choose that route if you want to split it into four with them instead.
